What is IST?
Inner Space Techniques (IST) is a set of therapeutic and healing techniques based on the inner space of meditation. IST focus on finding “samsakras” which are like emotional imprints in psyche. Samskaras are deeply seated on our psyche, and it is sometimes recognised as blockages of energy and manifesting as physical discomfort. Just like past traumatic events in life have effect on our emotion, thought patterns in day-to-day life, Samskara acts as a hindrance towards being the true self. IST enable you to find the roots of Samskara, changes the way we react to certain things, people, and events. It helps discovering true potential and “who you REALLY are”, therefore it helps clients to experience profound transformation that can have long lasting effect.

What should I expect working with Takako?
At the initial consultation Takako will interview about the nature of the client’s symptoms, and past health history in detail.
You will learn to enhance inner stillness by guided meditation/breathing techniques. Postural assessment/movement therapy can also be added to weekly sessions to achieve holistic transformation. Depending on the condition, remedial massage treatment will be considered.
Awareness is the first step of well-being. Being aware of your pain, discomfort, and strong desire to change is the powerful seed for transformation.
about Takako
I have been working as a remedial massage therapist over ten years, having treated various conditions including backache, shoulder ache, chronic fatigue syndrome, PTSD, depression, rehabilitation etc. over 4000 massage sessions. I came to realise that sources of physical pain and discomfort are not only due to physical issues but from non-physical origin such as emotions and mind that contribute to creating physical symptoms. Without treating the source of symptoms, just massaging body parts doesn’t solve the problems and gives only a temporary relief. IST is powerful as it trains us to recognise negative patterns in emotions, behavior, and mind. After practicing IST with a therapist, clients can learn to apply sourcing techniques in their own lives.
I believe in our body’s ability to heal itself. I keep studying to understand the relationship between body, mind and spirit. How much do you limit yourself from getting better? What is stopping yourself from changing? Why do we have pains and aches associated with stress and emotions? What can we do to keep a good relationship with our physical being and spiritual being?
I am passionate about finding out the best way to support the natural healing ability of each client and encourage them to change their lives in the way they want.
